Nevro Eliminates Two-Thirds Of Source Data Verification With ePRO And EDC

For many years, global medical device company Nevro collected patient data using paper. With a focus on developing new technologies and innovations designed to improve the quality of life for patients with chronic pain, they recently looked to expand its clinical evidence for its Senza spinal cord stimulation (SCS) system. However, the manual way of collecting data presented a new obstacle.
“When we were using paper questionnaires, there was a lot of transcription. Some of our questionnaires are nearly 50 questions long,” said Frances Rubenstein, PhD., Director of Database Management at Nevro. “The fact that the research coordinators (RCs) had to just sit there and transcribe it all took up a lot of time.”
Faced with these challenges, Nevro turned to Medrio to help implement an electronic patient-reported outcome (ePRO) solution that would be easy to adopt and intuitive enough to scale across their studies. Discover how they were able to unlock new efficiencies by implementing data collection via ePRO in combination with an EDC platform.
